Wacom drivers for X.org updated
The awesome folks in the linuxwacom project silently released an update last week that they've been working on for past half a year or so.
The new version marks the return of supporting each additional pen as a separate device. This feature was earlier lost in the X.org driver when hotplug settled in. The resurrection chant was sung by Alexia of GIMP fame.
Apart from that there are all kinds of improvements made by Chris Bagwell regarding touch devices, e.g. better one-finger tap validation and improved 2-finger gestures reading. Few new models are supported now, and another art pen got ID recognition.
It wouldn't be fair not mentioning tons and tons of bugfixes, internal changes and documentation updates. An exhausting complete list of changes is available here. The source code is available to download as well, but you might like to wait for updates for your distribution instead.
Meanwhile Bastien Nocera is hacking on the Wacom configuration applet for GNOME like there is no tomorrow. His primary focus is on making the settings daemon aware of different types of supported devices and their properties.

Many thanks for the improvements. Many thanks also to keep the wiki updated. For us , users the linuxwacom wiki is a mine gold to set our device.
Thank you linuxwacom and Bastien!
I wish the Genius tablets drivers had good support and GUI tools for configuring, as the Wacom tablets.
I know that Wacom are much better hardware, but still.
