New version of VIPS library and its UI called nip2 our out. VIPS/nip2 are best suited for scientific image processing.

Changes in VIPS:

• almost half of the library is rewritten which meade it leaner and faster;
  
• porting to GObject has started;
• better JPEG saving;
• Raw images import introduced;
• Matlab images import was fixed.
  

Changes in nip2:

• goffice is now used for plotting;
• images preview was added to file open dialog;
• GtkInfoBar is now used instead of tiresome pop-up dialogs.
