The 135 pages long book is written with Eclipse centered workflow in mind. In fact, Witold created an extension for Eclipse that enables autocompletion for most Blender API classes to provide you a complete IDE.

The author knowingly didn't attempt teaching you everything. Instead the book provides well written introductional material that will get you started and explain how to obtain further information. All the code and info is based on Blender 2.57 and should be safely applicable to currently available Blender 2.59.
