MyPaint 0.9.1 released with bugfixes
Yes, it's bugfix time: new version of the excellent painting application called MyPaint has just been released with a number of important fixes, while work on the next version is going on.
Most important fixes in this version are:
- fixes for non-ASCII file names, directories and layer names;
- workaround for tablets reporting invalid tilt values was introduced;
- direction of rotation was fixed for mirrored views, rotation step is now 22.5 degrees;
- MyPaint now stores thumbnails as per freedesktop specification, so you can see them e.g. in file managers;
- brush selector now remembers state of the expander at the bottom;
- the Windows version now uses AppData folder for settings.
You can download the new version here.
Meanwhile the next version is likely to feature optional single-window mode with dockable dialogs and an advanced viewport where you can see same illustration in various zoom levels simultaneously.
