Robert Krawitz et al. released an update to Gutenprint, a package of printing drivers for Linux and Mac, that accumulates all work done for last 8 months to add support for new printers and improve existing drivers.

The new version add support for 63 new models of Canon PIXMA printers (half of them experimentally), 13 EPSON printers (half of them exerimentally as well), and 8 new Kodak printers.

Drivers for some of EPSON Stylus and EPSON Stylus Pro printers got a number of improvements such as corrected page size limit, corrected basic printer definitions and corrected media definitions. For some EPSON models printing quality was improved as well. For Canon inkjet printers new photo modes were added.

Apart from that, CUPS PPD files now correctly identify which options affect color, for the Common Printer Dialog. Other minor fixes and improvements were applied.
