Gpick 0.2.4 released with improvements and fixes
Albertas Vyšniauskas released new version of Gpick, a color picker with built-in color scheme generator, that we covered recently. This new version features a number of improvements as well as fixes.
Firts of all, Albertas isn't the only contributor now: two of the new features have been implemented by a new developer. These feature are:
- using LAB color space in "Mix Colors" tool for smoother transitions between different hues;
- hotkeys for common actions: Ctrl+p for activating the picker, 1..6 for switching between comparison colors (the color "daisy" on the first tab), Alt+k,g,o for switching between tabs in main window.
Additionally HSV to RGB converter was fixed, CSV converter was added, various usability improvements were introduced.
Apart from source code you can download 32bit and 64bit packages for Ubuntu, but bear in mind that there already is an issue in the tracker on wrong dependencies in those packages, so a fix is possible. An updated Windows installer is still due to be released.
