GIMP Magazine #1: call for content

GIMP Magazine #1: call for content

With BlenderArt, LGMag and Code:Free magazines around would you be surprised if someone started a dedicated GIMP Magazine? And that's what happened.

Following a vivid discussion in the GIMP Chat forum Steve Czajka, a Canada-based freelance calligraphy artist, launched a new e-zine on GIMP. The first issue is currently at the planning stage with submissions accepted till June 1 and a few teaser covers available.

The freely downloadable e-zine will be focusing on promotion of GIMP as an image editor for artists, designers and photographers. The first issue will be focusing on v2.8 features. Tutorials on GIMP and articles on related free software are welcome, as well as GIMP-powered art and photography.

You can find more detailed information in the Meet The GIMP blog, and for contacting the team right now you can either mail to GIMPMagazine at hotmail dot ca or follow the GIMPMagazine twitter acccount.

Agreed :) I just hope they make it screen reading friendly.

  3. Sure, making a magazin needs a team and organization. I hope there will be a success for this new adventure. We know we’ve several time to make a LGM mag and that is has aborted so often.
