New version of F-Spot, the GNOME photo manager, is out in the wild.

Changes:

  • Mono.Addin copy removed from the bundle, use the one installed in the system from now on;
  • screensaver rewritten to be fast and lean;
  • timestamps not touched anymore when importing files;
  • lots of bugfixes;
  • updated translations.

Since this very moment 0.6.2 is considered stable, and further work on the stable versions will be done in the stable-0.6 Git branch. The next unstable version will be 0.7 and the work is ongoing in the master branch.

The team is also considering changing the license from GPL to MIT X11 to be able to collaborate with the Banshee project.
